Niklaas van der Walt didn't keep his prejudices a secret when a woman turned up as his assistant vet at Marula National Park in South Africa. But nothing could dissuade Georgie Jonson to give up her newly won position at the African wildlife sanctuary.
Georgie was thrilled to be offered a job as Assistant Vet to a private African wildlife sanctuary. She'd be working with Niklaas van der Walt, but he'd been expecting a male assistant!
Besides, if Niklaas liked animals better than people - especially female people - that suited Georgie just fine. At least he'd be no smooth seducer. For experience had taught Georgie not to welcome male attentions, either.
She knew she could do the job - but could she prove it to Niklaas?
In the end, Georgie married Dirk de Vries although she loved Niklaas. There was misunderstanding that made Georgie went back to England without no one knew it. She raised her baby, Susan, until two years later, Niklaas found them and claimed what should be his.
I love this one and I was once dream of becoming a vet, work with big cats and excotic animals in Africa.
