Jacobson II, (MD), concludes The Ride of the Valkyries as 'There are eight wild and angry maidens on their winged steeds, traveling through a storm, with their weapons flashing in the glitter of lightning, and their eerie laughter mingling with crash of thunder', in his book 'The Classical Music Experience'.
